Digital book website eBookJapan released their “Annual Download Ranking” for the first half of 2018. Read on to find out the two works that topped the charts for both male and female categories.
Attack on Titan is number one in the “Overall” and “Boys & Young Men Manga” categories, while Warring States period work Kingdom is number two. Two works representing the 2010s show how strong they still are in the final eBookJapan ranking of the Heisei era.
In number three is That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, a new work that has been growing in popularity in recent years.
Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku – a popular work that blends realistic geek culture with a unique love story – tops the “Girls & Women Manga” category. Number two is Chihayafuru, which was number one in the annual ranking for the past two years. Coming in at number three is Nagi no Oitoma, a work about a female protagonist who is sick of “reading the air” that is popular with working women.
