Favourite Theme Song Fall 2018 (ED Ed.)

Who are the top three this time?

9 Nov 2018

Continuing where we left off for “Favourite Theme Song Fall 2018”, here is the survey result for the ED edition.

The result for the Favourite Opening Theme Song is here.

#1 Iris by Eir Aoi [Sword Art Online: Alicization]

Number one, with 14% of the votes, is Iris by Eir Aoi from Sword Art Online: Alicization. Eir Aoi previously sang the theme songs for the Fairy Dance arc (Season One) and the Phantom Bullet arc (Season Two), and also for Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online. She is clearly an indispensable artiste for the SAO series. Together with LiSA who also returned and topped the ranking for the OP edition, it is clear that there is a lot of support and trust for these returning artistes of this work.

#2 youthful beautiful by Maaya Uchida [SSSS.Gridman]

Number two, with 12% of the votes, is the ending theme song “youthful beautiful” by Maaya Uchida. As a singer, she brings to life the world of the work, and together with the school setting ending sequence, evokes a sense of nostalgia.

#3 fukashigi no karte by Mai Sakurajima (Asami Seto), Tomoe Koga (Nao Toyama), Rio Futaba (Atsumi Tanezaki), Nodoka Toyohama (Maaya Uchida), Kaede Azusawara (Yurika Kubo), Shoko Makinohara (Inori Minase) [Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai]

Number three, with 9% of the votes, is the ending theme song by the six female cast of Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai. It is an enjoyable listening experience to hear the different and unique voices of the group.

In this Fall 2018 Anime Theme Song ranking, interestingly enough both the OP and ED are from the same work.

For the male votes, the top three remain the same. For the female votes, number one is Sword Art Online: Alicization, number two is The Most Huggable Man Has Threatened Me and number three is Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai.
