Fuso takes heavy damage, and flagship Yamashiro takes the front. However, four enemy heavy cruisers stand in their way of going further towards Leyte.

Despite having taken a real beating, the girls managed to return to Sasebo and their operation was a great success. However, Shigure receives orders for the disbandment of the 1st Striking Force, 3rd Group.
