When Fujinuma Satoru's mother is murdered by an unknown assailant, he is suddenly sends him back 18 years to when he was in elementary school, and this gives him the chance to prevent a kidnapping incident that took the lives of three of his classmates.

Satoru invites Hinazuki to the Science Center so she won’t be alone. He suspects that he’s riding the same pre-Revival rail of time, and before he knows it, X-day has arrived...

It turns out that Kayo, absent from school, has disappeared after all. Satoru is tormenting himself with the thought that he should have been able to do something more. On top of that, Nakanishi Aya from the nearby elementary school has vanished too!

CHARACTERS

Satoru Fujinuma (CV: Shinnosuke Mitsushima)

A struggling manga author with a supernatural power that enables, or rather, forces him to prevent deaths and catastrophes that happen near him by sending him back in time when an accident occurs.

Kayo Hinazuki (CV: Aoi Yuki)

A ten-year-old girl who was one of Satoru Fujinuma's classmates. The first victim of the serial killer/kidnapper. She went missing on the 2nd of March 1988 where her body was found a few days later.

Airi Katagiri (CV: Chinatsu Akasaki)

A high school student and Satoru's co-worker at Oasi Pizza. She gets involved with Satoru when she realized oddities as Satoru managed to save people from life-threatening incidents.

Sachiko Fujinuma (CV: Minami Takayama)

Satoru's mother and former news announcer. She knows about the cold cases of serial kidnapping in her town but decided to keep quiet and ignore it due to her child's growth and safety.
