The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 4 is coming to ANIPLUS this July!
The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 4 is an anime television series based on the light novel series of the same title written by Aneko Yusagi. In January 2024, it was announced that a fourth season was in production. Hitoshi Haga reprises his role as series director.

As the Shield Hero, Iwatani Naofumi prepared for the return of the Phoenix, one of the Four Guardian Beasts. He tracked down each of the other three heroes and made peace with them.
But due to a misunderstanding, assassins from a nation called Q’ten Lo thought Raphtalia was going to try and take their throne, and try to kill her.
In order to work things out with Q’ten Lo, Naofumi travels to the demi-human country Siltvelt, the one place where he can get a boat to Q’ten Lo. He’s welcomed warmly by the demi-humans there, who worship the Shield Hero. But even in Siltvelt there are those who dislike him.
Naofumi finds that Q’ten Lo is politically unstable, and that Raphtalia rapidly becomes a symbol for revolution.
As things get more and more complex, will Naofumi become a light who guides his comrades?
The opening theme song, “Resolution”, is performed by Madkid, while the ending theme song, “Eien ni Ikkai no”, is performed by Chiai Fujikawa.
